A look at how I spend my week...
My week's analytics, four ways to be happier, dogs eating better than us, a billion-dollar bully, dangers of Buddhist nationalism, and more

Hi friend!
Has another week already past?
This week has been back-to-back meetings placing seeds in the ground for my return to New York later this year. I haven't really been able to focus on content creation as much as I would have hoped, but things to come in due time.
Some of you may know, but I will share with you one of my habits: time-tracking my life. It's a bit embarrassing but really insightful to see how I spend my time every day.
Here's the report from last week (via Toggl, love their product):

I have set up categories based on Tony Robbin's "Wheel of Life". These are broad areas of my life I can track and prioritize. When I look at how I've been spending my time, a lot has been in "Excess". This includes travel, social media, errands - life admin stuff. A big part of why I want to set up a home base again is to free up this time for my work. More time on content creation and new business ventures would make my heart soar! Curious… you find this intriguing?
I realized that the link to my mindfulness video last week did not work so here it is again (oops!):

I share some simple tips on why forgiveness is so hard, and some tips on how to overcome and forgive. Life is so short. Release the pain so that we can focus on moving forward with our lives and towards our higher self.
So much love for you this week. Enjoy the summer!
A Book I Love
I recently grabbed this book, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz, as a recommendation from a few of the podcasts I've been listening to. A relatively short read with four straightforward tips to life. Absolutely motivating and highly recommend.
An Article that Raises Questions
The Atlantic recently covered the boom of grain-free dog food and how it aligns closely with human diet trends. It begs the question: are we doing our canine companions a favor by feeding them grain-free dog food? (According to the article - we are not) This trend is booming everywhere: I've been seeing ads for Farmer's Dog (made-fresh human-grade dog food) everywhere in the NYC subways.
A Documentary that Opened My Eyes
Billion Dollar Bully is a documentary covering corrupt business practices of Yelp. Did you know that if you scroll all the way down to the very bottom of Yelp business pages, you can see filtered reviews that were not "relevant" to us? The reporting, interviews, and insights were enough to convince me to think twice when using Yelp again.
An Article that Shook Me
Nationalism is on the rise all around the world - even Buddhist monks are going to extremes to claim their territory. This article sheds light on the damaging nationalist movement that is sweeping the globe and also infiltrating the minds of the people we would expect to be enlightened.
